HB's Catering has been managed and operated since 1989 by Mary Doctor, President and Chef. Mary says, “Since I was a child, cooking has been my passion.” Inspired by The Galloping Gourmet and Julia Child and trained at The New School for Culinary Arts and The French Culinary Institute, Mary creates beautiful dishes from scratch. HB's Catering , formerly known as Honey Boo's Kitchen, has grown from intimate dinners in homes to formal parties and business events. Today, HB's Catering serves a broad clientele in the private sector as well as the for-profit and non-for-profit community with relationships that go back over 10 years. She says the transition and growth has been “Exhilarating!”
Mary believes that using fresh ingredients is the key to preparing quality foods. HB's Catering repertoire includes everything from romantic dinners for two to banquets and seminars for over two hundred. With the help of her events coordinator, Aharon Singleton, she offers a wide array of catering services in addition to her services as a private Chef. Her repeat business and continued referrals are a testament to her success.
